For about a week our bi-fuel Chevrolet Cavalier was making terrible noises. Really though, every time the ignition was turned I'm sure the whole neighborhood that Jurassic park was playing at full volume right outside their doors. The high-pressure regulator was in need of being replaced (whatever that means). It was an $800 fix but totally worth it because of the price of gas. Just in two-three months we saved almost $400 in gas by using CNG only. Hopefully, this type of fix is not regular; otherwise, it will not have been worth it.

It was a casual Sunday for us with absolutely no plans. We decided to watch "Life in a Day" and the bottom line moral of the story was family is the most important thing at the end of the day. We were glad to spend it together in our monkey snuggies that the pajama elf brought us for Christmas.

I got to work (for school) at the wedding expo today and felt like I was planning the "big day" again. While I was there, I met a rep for the Castle Park events center. I have always wanted to tour it, so she told me I could come by after the expo for an open house and free food! I told Isaac and the words "free food" put him right on board. Crazy to think this was ALL a private residence just months ago: houses, huge jungle gym and amusement rides, art museum, a 2 story dwarf cottage, pavillions, even a russian looking gazebo. And then there is this castle. Although the food ended up just being light refreshments, it was a fun adventure!

Another great date night but most of the plans fell through again! I thought there was free food at UVU tonight but there wasn't, just a wedding. We felt kind of ridiculous walking in and asking where the free food was. Anyways, we went to the new JDawgs up the road and right after we paid we ran into an old friend of ours that told us they were giving out free JDawgs at the institute. How ironic...

I love UVU because it is so random. I am walking past the courtyard when I see this. The guy walking the tight rope tells me to jump on with him. Immediately a flash of me losing my balance, grabbing the safety rope and my body stretching across both ropes crosses my mind. I look up at him and tell him no thank you. However, it would have been pretty hilarious to call Erika and tell her I need a ride home... "I can't ride home on my scooter because I fell in a pool of ice at UVU".

Today Isaac got a (not-so) needed haircut. The barber from the MTC came in and taught us how to clean up our mens' cuts and we had to bring in a male. Isaac came to my rescue, just like Marty Mcfly saves the sports almanac from Biff Tannen. (Can you tell we are in the middle of our Back to The Future marathon still? I have been relating those movies in every analogy I've used this last week, and I am heavy on analogies.)

Also, I just realized we have forgotten that it is 2012 a few times on this blog already. Maybe it is because our cars are no where near flying and I am still waiting for my hover board and self-drying clothes. (ref: BTF pt II)

We went to our first class of Financial Peace University tonight. It is a 91 day course that meets once a week over the 91 days. We figure while we are young married couples it would be good to get on the same page now! We forgot to take a picture so we will take one next week and pretend it was today ;)

My last full semester at UVU (I still have a few classes in the summer). I am really paying the price this semester on Mondays and Wednesdays though. Leave at 6:30 am and back home at 9 pm. I am excited for the semester! This pic is of me logging onto UVUs student portal. I have done this a hundred times today.

This picture was from yesterday but it applied more to today. This is because we ate more food from Maglebys at home than we actually did at Maglebys. We ate left overs for lunch and dinner today, including their famous chocolate cake that you see here in the picture. Thank you livingsocial.com for the good deal!

We had an entertaining night babysitting the niece and nephews. After changing to her jammies before bed, Eleanor's next step was to find her favorite hat and backpack and prance around the house. I love it when children pick out their own outfits. Their individual personalities always shine to the surface. Notice all of Ellie's.

For our date night we had plans to go to the temple. Well, I couldn't find my temple recommend anywhere. So, we decided to move on to our next plan and use a gift certificate to Tomasso's Italian Ice that I found in a bathroom stall (it was clean). Well, when we got there we found out they had gone out of business. With our plans in shambles I suspected that "Back to the Future" would have disappeared like my temple recommend. But nope, it was still there and it was a classic, as usual. I think I appreciated the Back to the Future Trilogy Christmas present from me to Erika more than she did.

Somehow, Mowgli managed to get all of the trash out of the garbage can, mix it with a few of his and Isaac's toys, and still manage to keep the garbage can standing upright. We are so proud.

I take the GMAT tomorrow! I have been studying for the GMAT on and off for almost 5 months now. Most of the studying took place over the Christmas and New Years break.

Nichole came to the school today to be my first human hair client! (Well technically Isaac was, but I have been doing his flawless hair for 2 years now so he doesn't count). She is so appreciated for helping me out and ended up with some gorgeous colors and cut if I do say so myself.

Erika spent the afternoon and evening, while I studied for the GMAT, taking advantage of her gift cards, groupons and shopping date with Olivia. The groupons and lunch was my Christmas present to Erika.

In my attempt to take the picture Mowgli decided shopping was not very important. I tend to agree. God had me born in this day and age because he knew that without online shopping I would simply never shop. Good thing Erika likes to shop enough for five of us!

This is supposed to be a daily picture starting January 1, 2012 but we thought it might be appropriate to include a few significant days from the year before.

"There is an owl in the house!!!" (What Randy hears as Erika comes storming into the house). What she yelled was, "there is an elf in the house! Santa left an elf!"

Mowgli was not excited to wear the costume. You could see the humiliation in his face.
