Mel and bird

This I finished awhile ago and finally took a picture of. Although it doesn't seem an obvious fit to the climate change series, the subject matter is directly related. Mel found this bird on the ground practically drowning in one of the many heavy rainstorms we've had here this year. So, what do you think, climate change series or no?

My first hour!

Although the actual painting of it took about 15 minutes, I swear I was preparing for the full hour!

This is the background, and as for the scene thats going in, its my little secret until tomorow.

This one that I'm working on is my first painting for the post climate change series.

Spend an hour a day painting

Chrissy and I were inspired by this blog where his goal is to do a painting a day. But a whole painting a day doesn't seem practical for me, so we modified it to an hour a day. This mean 365 hours a year at least, and I want to see if I can even reach that by the end of this year. Who knows how many paintings that'll be but probably quite a few.

Our set or theme we're currently working on is what things would look like during/post global warming.
